The opening stands for the unpredictability of children, with lively rhythms, dynamic contrasts and changes of time signature. The first and second movements tell with dissonant harmonies, but also with beautiful melodies of tension, love and worry in the parent-child relationship. The finale is a fugue that leads to a magnificent chorale: a picture of proud parents with their child!
