Additional info/contents	Milestone by Mario Bürki is a commemorative composition for intermediate-level wind orchestras, written in 2024 to mark the 20th anniversary of the W40 music camp. This single-movement work combines pedagogical approaches with modern stylistic elements and is divided into six sections: a tranquil Lento introduction, a dynamic Allegro main section, metrical experiments with time signature changes, a funky section with a solo passage, a drum solo, and a reflective finale that returns to the introduction. The piece develops rhythmic awareness, improvisation, and ensemble collaboration, making it ideal for anniversary celebrations or competitions. It is rooted in the tradition of Swiss wind music and combines musical challenge with emotional impact. (© musicainfo.net) Radiotrack
