Altmeister Henk van Lijnschooten schuf diese 12 kleinen Perlen in dem Stil, den man von ihm erwarten konnte. Das Schreiben für eine kleine Besetzung, auf einfachem spieltechnischem Niveau ohne dass es vorhersehbar klingt: Dieses Handwerk beherrschte Henk van Lijnschooten auf hervorragende Weise. Starters Kit consists of 12 short songs, where a so-called Preparation Drill precedes each one, and the didactic elements are explained. The master, Henk van Lijnschooten has composed 12 gems in the style he is most famous for. Composed for small ensemble, and written at an easy level without sounding overly simple, is a well-honed skill from Henk van Lijnschooten. Starters Kit consiste en 12 petites chansons, chacune précédée par ce qu’on appelle un Preparation Drill, dans lequel l’élément didactique est expliqué. Le vieux maître Henk van Lijnschooten a crée ces 12 petites perles dans le style qu’on attend de lui. Ce maître-artisan savait à merveille écrire pour petites formations, à un niveau accessible sans que ça sonne prévisible et simple. Starters Kit bestaat uit 12 korte liedjes waarbij elk nummer wordt voorafgegaan door een zogenoemde Preparation drill, waarbij het didactische element wordt uiteengezet. De oude meester Henk van Lijnschooten maakte deze 12 pareltjes in de stijl die je van hem kunt verwachten. Componeren voor een kleine bezetting, op eenvoudig niveau zonder dat het voorspelbaar en simpel klinkt is een ambacht dat Henk van Lijnschooten uitstekend beheerste.
