Additional info/contents	JW Pepper Editors' Choice One of Charlie Parker’s most recognizable compositions, this tune has been a jam session standard for many years. The chart opens with the saxes stating the melody followed by another chorus of the melody with hits from the brass. The solo section is open for improvisation over this 12 bar blues in F and features some subtle background figures in the brass and saxes. Coming out of the solo section the saxes play a chorus harmonizing a quote from Bird’s original solo. The chart ends with a re-statement of the melody with brass hits galore to build to a rousing finale.
