Additional info/contents	“Children of Sanchez” is written by the American flugelhorn player Chuck Mangione to the movie also entitled “Children of Sanchez”. Mangione (born 1940) is a very successful musician and compser, appearing both with his own bands and as sideman like a member of Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers. This arrangement is very useful both for parade- and concert situations. When performed in concert, the conductor may left out some of the players for the softer dynamics. The bass line on the verses can be simplified by playing only the first four notes in the bar. If the players do not master double-tounge, or that the 16th note passages are too fast, one can play only the marked notes.
