Programme notes *: additional text

This march was composed for the first marching in the youth orchestra and is dedicated to BAG Gmünd/NÖ. The instrumentation and the degree of difficulty (rhythm, range,...) are adapted to the needs of a youth orchestra. The 2nd flute part is almost entirely an octave lower than the 1st flute and should only be used if the 1st flute is not playable for individual musicians. The oboe part can be omitted. The trills in the wood parts can be omitted. There are no separate flugelhorn parts. The bass part is for bassoon, bass clarinet, baritone saxophone and tuba. Percussion should include snare drum, bass drum and cymbals. The march contains all the necessary and usual parts of a traditional street march.
The format of the parts is A4 landscape, a reduction to march book format can be made independently if necessary.
