Additional info/contents The "Minstrels" were a Swiss music group. The band consisted of Daniel "Dani" Fehr (piano, banjo), Mario Feurer (violin) and Pepe Solbach (guitar, voice). In 1967 the band got together in Zurich. At first they wandered through Zurich's restaurants as travelling musicians in minstrel costumes, with a repertoire of folk, blues and Swiss folk music. A television appearance at the OLMA in St. Gallen in October 1969 made them famous at a stroke. Grüezi wohl, Mrs. Stirnimaa! entered the Swiss hit parade a few days later at number 2. The song remained in the Top 10 for seventeen weeks without interruption, ten weeks of which it remained at number 1, and also placed in Germany (number 3) and Austria (number 5), selling 1.5 million copies in 27 countries.
