Additional info/contents Floating Dreams, for tuba and CD, was written in 2007. I wanted to write a slow work with CD accompaniment and after some work at the piano came up with the opening melodies and chord sequences on which the whole work is based. The title was suggested by my wife (the piece is dedicated to her) who, after hearing it for the first time, suggested that it 'sounded like a floating dream'.
