Additional info/contents	Der Untertitel, Werke der jungen Generation, bezeichnet nicht die Geburtsdaten der vorliegenden Komponisten, sondern Kompositionen im Rahmen eines Wettbewerbs aus den Jahren 2010/11, die hier erstmals in gedruckter Form vorgelegt werden. Der Kontrabass als solistisches Instrument, in den letzten Jahren kaum wahrgenommen, ist ein einsames Instrument und erfordert einen reifen Künstler mit Hingabe. Komponisten aus aller Welt sind dem Aufruf gefolgt, z.B. aus Belgien, Dänemark, über Ungarn, Neuseeland, USA bis Japan, um nur einige Länder zu nennen. Die Komponisten werden mit Lebenslauf und einigen Bemerkungen zu ihren Werken vorgestellt. Mit dieser Publikation will der Verlag die persönliche Vernetzung und den Austausch der Künstler untereinander fördern, ein Ziel, das in der institutionellen Verankerung leider manchmal vernachlässigt wird. The subtitle, Pieces by the young generation, does not mean the composers' dates of birth, but compositions which were to be published in the framework of a competition from the year 2010/11. The double bass as a solo instrument was not in the focus during the recent years. It is a lonely instrument and requires a mature artist with devotion. Composers from all over the world complied the appeal e.g. from Belgium, Denmark, Hungary, New Zealand and USA in order to name only some of them. All composers are introduced with their CV and some notes about their work. With this publication the publisher will promote the personal network and the exchange of the artists with each other, an aim, which sometimes is somehow neglected by institutions promoting modern music.
