Additional info/contents	"Wer nur den lieben Gott lassen walten" was written around 1641 by Georg Neumark. Old hymnals attest to the early popularity of the hymn, which is familiar today, not least thanks to Johann Sebastian Bach, who used it for a chorale, among other things. In this arrangement, the Bach chorale is heard twice: once alternating with the motif from Jan de Haan's introduction, and once without interruption in a setting that does justice to its original intention: a song of consolation.
