Additional info/contents Dies Irae is equally as famous as thew Berlioz previously mentioned - the forceful Dies Irae of Verdi's Requiem, here arranged by Jason Cole.
Verdi's Requiem was composed during Verdi's self imposed sabbatical from opera during teh years 1871-1887. Even through not concerned with operatic composition at this time, Verdi does not stylistically stray from his operatic roots. Forceful, emotional, and in all ways operatic - his Requiem has become one of his most beloved compositions.
