Additional info/contents	Jubilate's main theme comes from the Gregorian chant of the psalm Jubilate Deo omnis terra. The work itself was inspired by the sacred history of the Waldkirch (a forest village) community, located on the Swiss/German border. It tells a tale of the Irish and Scottish monks who built the first wooden church at the site of what is now Waldkirch; of the dramatic events, good and bad, that have taken place over the centuries; and of the flourishing community that has with-stood the trials of time.

Programme notes *: The community of Waldkirch near Waldshut on the Hochrhein has a rich ecclesiastical history dating back to the time of Irish and Scottish monks. These monks once built the first wooden church in this place, and their influence shaped the development of the community. Over the centuries, Waldkirch also experienced dramatic historical events that are woven into the fabric of the community and its church. This turbulent history served as inspiration for the work "Jubilate!" and is reflected in its musical narrative. "Jubilate!" is a festive musical work based on the Gregorian chant to the psalm "Jubilate Deo omnis terra". It presents a multi-layered musical representation of the history of Waldkirch. From solemn and powerful choral passages to intimate solo voices and dramatic instrumental sections, the work creates a sonic journey that captures the emotions and events of the story. The use of Gregorian chant as the main theme gives the work both spiritual and historical significance. A special addition to "Jubilate!" is the enclosed CD, which contains the sound of bells from the church in Waldkirch.
