The stately pavane-like first movement, entitled Vive Henry IV - which dates from 1590 - is followed by a faster movement titled Kemp's Jig (c.1600). The third movement - Canario(c.1500) - starts slowly, but soon changes into a fast 6/8 time. The suite concludes with Bransle de Chevaux (c.1590) bringing the suite to a spectacular close.
