Additional info/contents	In Land of Legends German composer Andreas Ludwig Schulte takes you along to the fictional world of legends, myths and fairy tales. The introduction to the first part ("The Castle") describes the majestic contours of the scene of action. Its instrumentation (horns) immediately makes you imagine being in Medieval spheres. The addition of trenchant copper instruments even gives the part a heroic tinge. After entering through the gate, a lot of hustle and bustle appears to be going on in the courtyard. Pages, squires and soldiers are busy attending to their arms. Beer is being brewed, flax is being spun, cattle are being tended and some craftsmen from neighbouring villages are busily at work. In the upper chamber of the round tower lives an old man ("The Old Wizard"). He hardly ever comes out, and nobody knows exactly what he is doing. It is said that he is engaged in wizardry and magic. It is all very mysterious. There are also festivities, some of them sober, others exuberant. The wedding in the third part is celebrated in a grand manner. With a flourish of trumpets, the bride makes her entrance at the hand of her father. Afterwards, at the party there is dancing to the music played by minstrels and of course a plentiful banquet follows.

Programme notes *: In a distant land whose sky was crossed by the wings of mythical creatures lay the "Land of Legends". A place shrouded in the mists of the past, said to be the origin of all stories and myths. On the edge of this fascinating land stood majestically "TheCastle". Its towers reached into the clouds, and its walls seemed to retain the echoes of long-ago exploits. Here, in the halls of the castle, the stories of those who shaped the country were immortalized on magnificent walls. “The Old Wizzard” resided in the deepest corners of the “Land of Legends”. His beard bore the colors of the ages, and his eyes reflected the knowledge of centuries. This wise wizard, rumored to be able to speak with the stars, was the keeper of ancient secrets and the key to the unknown realms of the Land of Legends. One day, when the sky was pierced by golden rays of sunshine, "The Marriage" occurred. Two kingdoms that had once been separated by the passage of time came together. Their heirs united in a magnificent ceremony, and the hymns of love became a resonant fabric that permeated the "Land of Legends." The ancient prophecies spoke of this union as the key to the rebirth of the land. Andreas Ludwig Schulze's composition, entitled "Land of Legends", became the soundscape of this story. "TheCastle" sounded majestically in the melodic heights, accompanied by the gentle tones that reflected the wisdom of the "Old Wizzard". When "The Marriage" was celebrated on a musical level, the melody of the two kingdoms merged into a harmonious whole. So the story of the "Land of Legends" became a song that echoed through the centuries. Schulze's music became the soul of this magical land, and the legends that populated it lived on in the hearts of those who heard them. In the sounds of "Land of Legends" the past found its voice, and the fairy tale became the eternal melody of the distant land, echoing through the centuries.
