A magnificent continuation of this tradition is the composition "Piccola Suite Italiana" by the Swiss composer Franco Cesarini, which can be considered a homage to the musical roots and rich treasure of folk songs and dances of Friuli. Friuli has undergone a remarkable transformation over the centuries, from a once poor region to a fertile, prosperous region. This economic and cultural development is also evident in Friuli's music.
