Arranger Beringen, Robert van
Difficulty level 1
Additional info/contents The numerous, predominantly sacred compositions by the Bohemian composer Andreas Hammerschmidt are solidly composed, full-sounding and catchy. They were composed in the 17th century mainly for village churches, where they were sung by amateur choirs and thus enjoy great circulation and popularity to this day. Robert van Beringen took the pre-Christmas title Machet die Tore weit and created this beautiful arrangement from it.
