Additional info/contents	The composition is characterized by a variety of rhythmic elements, including odd time signatures and meter changes. After a festive opening, the main theme follows, consisting of lively eighth and quarter notes. A second, vocal theme forms a contrast. The different ideas are connected by a recurring chord that is varied in sound and rhythm. The fast section is followed by a lyrical middle section that begins with a delicate alto saxophone solo. A fugato introduces the third section.
