Additional info/contents	This modern Christmas carol, which sings of the patron saint of seafarers, Saint Nicholas, was composed by Freddy Quinn, the internationally popular singer, artist and entertainer, in 1972 to a text by Georg Buschor. It became very popular as a recording, sung by Freddy Quinn of course; and in the piano version authorised by the composer, (arranged by Wolfgang Rödelberger). The simple, tasteful harmonies and the voice leading of the bass part have not been altered in this version for concert band, only some secondary voices, as necessary in the orchestral setting, have been added.
