Additional info/contents	As with all traditional marches, Noble Men should be played in a good, separated march style. Basically all notes not slurred or marked legato should be separated. Another basic rule: all accented notes are separated. Dynamic contrast is a facet of all good march performances. To achieve greater contrast, play the soft passages softer, creating a wider range of dynamics. A third factor, which is essential to all good march performances is a 'sense of pulse'. When playing 'straight time' (tuba, bass drum, low woodwind, etc.) play a slightly lighter second beat of each measure so the bass lines does not go, 'thud, thud, thud, thud', but rather 'strong, weak, strong weak, etc.'.
