Difficulty level 6
Duration 20:00

* Andreas Martin Hofmeir, geb. Januar 2015).

When Andreas Martin Hofmeir* initially asked Roland Szentpali to write a piece for tuba, piano, drum set (ad lib.), and strings, the composer was too busy to accommodate the request, so Szentpali composed this Chill Fantasy using the main themes from a previous work (Pearls III, Editions Bim TU169).
The result is some lively and jazzy chill music, a cool concert piece that should please and relax audiences.

* Andreas Martin Hofmeir, born in 1978, 1st prize winner of the Porcia 2004 tuba competition. Now professor at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria and internationally acclaimed as tuba virtuoso (classic, jazz, pop, rock). He performed Chill Fantasy in Germany during the 6 New Year concerts (3rd to 9th January 2015) with the Nürnberg Philharmonic conducted by Marcus Bosch.
