Additional info/contents	Meine Bewunderung und mein Interesse für den Flamenco und seine musikalische Reichhaltigkeit bewogen mich dazu, mich tiefer damit zu befassen. Der konzertante Stil, mit einer freien Kadenz für das Quintett, ermöglicht es, die solistische Virtuosität, in Kombination mit den verschiedenen Registern des Orchesters, auf interessante Art hervorzuheben. Ich war sehr daran interessiert, den Flamenco mit andern Musikstilen zu mischen, dessen Ursprünglichkeit aber zu bewahren und gleichzeitig war ich angezogen von den melodischen, harmonischen und rhythmischen Charakteristika seiner verschiedenen 'palos' oder 'cantes'. Ursprünglich war das Werk für symphonisches Blasorchester und Brass Quintett, ein Auftrag des 'Institut Valencià de la Música'. Die vorliegende Transkription für Orchester und Brass Quintett wurde mir 2008 vom berühmten 'Spanish Brass – Luur Metalls' bestellt, dem das Werk gewidmet ist. J. Vicent Egea, 2010 My admiration and interest about the flamenco and its musical richness induced me to get involved with it more deeply. The concertante style, with an optional cadenza for the quintet, gives an interesting background to develop the soloistic virtuosity, constantly combined with the different sections of the full orchestra. I was very interested on the possibility to mix flamenco with other music styles maintaining its origins. At the same time I was attracted on the melodic, harmonic and rhythmic characteristics of its different 'palos' or 'cantes'. The original composition was a commission from the 'Institut Valencià de la Música' for symphonic band and brass quintet. The present transcription for orchestra and brass quintet was commissioned in 2008 by the famous quintet 'Spanish Brass – Luur Metalls' to which the work is dedicated. J. Le style concertant, avec une cadence en option pour le quintette, permet de révéler, combinée avec les différents registres de l'orchestre, la virtuosité des solistes de façon très intéressante. Je voulais fusionner le Flamenco avec d'autres styles musicaux, tout en gardant ses origines et en même temps j'étais attiré par les charactéristiques mélodiques, harmoniques et rythmiques de ses divers 'palos' ou 'cantes'. A l'origine, l'oeuvre était pour orchestre à vents et quintette de cuivres, une commande de l''Institut Valencià de la Música'.
