Für dieses Werk holte sich die Komponistin die Inspiration in den komplexen Kollisionen unserer schwierigen, widersprüchlichen Epoche. Die Symphonie entstand 1988 und ist Aram Khatchaturian gewidmet, der in G. Chitchyans schöpferischem Leben eine bedeutende Rolle spielte. Von der Autorin vorgeschlagene Mindest-Besetzung: 4 erste und 2 zweite Violinen, 2 Bratschen, 2 Celli und 1 Kontrabass. The chamber Symphony for strings is structured in a single movement. In writing this work the composer was inspired by the complex collisions of our difficult and contradictory time. The symphony was written in 1988 and is dedicated to the memory of Aram Khatchaturyan, who played a considerable role in the creative life of Geghuni Chitchyan. The work is written for small string orchestra with a minimum of 4 first violins, 2 second violins, 2 violas, 2 cellos and 1 double bass.
