Additional info/contents	Das vorliegende Trompetenkonzert (op. 123) entstand 1866 und wurde von der Banda Nazionale unter der Leitung des Komponisten am 15. April 1866 auf der Piazza Garibaldi in Cremona (Italien) uraufgeführt und am 3. Mai 1868 auf der Piazza Cavour wieder-holt. Ponchielli verwendet in seinem Werk die in dieser Zeit typische Satzfolge. Auf die Introduzione folgt eine Aria, dann ein Tema con Variazioni dem sich das Finale anschliesst. Im Autograph fehlen Flöten, Oboen und Fagotte, was vermuten lässt, dass in der Banda Nazionale diese Instrumente nicht besetzt waren. Die Schreibart ist im Original nicht immer konsequent ausgeführt. Der Rhythmus wurde nur in vereinzelten Fällen berichtigt, wo es die Einheitlichkeit mit den übrigen Stimmen oder die Übereinstimmung mit einer anderen parallelen Stelle der Komposition erforderte. Die Dynamik ist in der Originalvorlage nur sehr sporadisch und nicht immer in allen Stimmen angegeben. Als Vorlage diente das Autograph, das vom Herausgeber sinngemäss ergänzt wurde. This trumpet concerto (op. 123) was written in 1866 and was first performed by the Banda Nazionale, conducted by the composer, on 15th April 1866 in the Piazza Garibaldi and on 3rd May in the Piazza Cavour in Cremona. Ponchielli uses the sequence of movements characteristic of the time: the Introduzione is followed by an Aria and then by a Tema con Variazioni leading into the Finale. The autograph shows no flutes, oboes or bassoons, implying that the Banda Nazionale did not possess these instruments. In the original the writing is not always consistent. The rhythm has been corrected only in isolated cases, where this was necessary for the sake of uniformity with the other parts or to match a parallel passage elsewhere in the work. In the original dynamics are indicated only very sporadically and then not always in every part. The autograph served as reference and has been completed as appropriate by the editor. Le concerto (op. 123) publié ici a été composé en 1866 et créé par la Banda Nazionale le 15 avril 1866 sur la Piazza Garibaldi avant d'être redonnée le 3 mai 1868 sur la Piazza Cavour à Crémone. Dans cette oeuvre, Ponchielli développe une succession de mouvements typiques de son époque. Une Aria succède à l'Introduzione, puis vient un Thema con Variazioni et le Finale. Dans le manuscrit autographe, manquent les parties de flûtes, hautbois et bassons, ce qui laisse supposer que ces instruments manquaient dans la Banda Nazionale. Dans son manuscrit, Ponchielli n'a pas toujours complété toutes les voix. Le rythme n'est précisé qu'en certains endroits, où il s'agit de coordonner une unité avec des voix différentes ou parallèles.
