Additional info/contents	Die drei Sätze dieses Konzertes wurden zwischen 1990 und 1991 in Eriwan, Armenien, während einer schwierigen Zeit geschrieben (Erdbeben und grosse politische Unruhe). Das Werk verrät nicht nur die emotionale Empfindlichkeit des grossen armenischen Komponisten, es lässt auch seine tiefe Ausdrucksmöglichkeit erkennen, von der Soloposaunenstimme besonders zur Geltung gebracht und grossartig unterstütz von der prachtvollen Architektur der Orchestration. Den pathetischen Akzenten der Einführung des ersten Satzes folgt ein dramatischer und atemberaubender Dialog zwischen Solist und Orchester, der sich dann in ein Andante sostenuto verwandelt, in dem sich interrogative, hoffnungsvolle Phrasen von höchster Schönheit folgen. Der zweite Satz, ein 6/8 Allegretto, zeigt die charakteristische schöpferische Vitalität und Energie Alexander Arutiunians. Die Soloposaunen-Stimme 'explodiert', virtuos und schwindelerregend, in einem tragisch-komischen Tanz. Die Pauken eröffnen den letzten Satz piano-crescendo in einer martialischen Dramatisierung (Allegro 4/4) und bereiten den machtvollen Einsatz der Solo-Posaune vor, die dann mit Kraft und Sensibilität, Empfindlichkeit und Festigkeit alterniert, bis zur Kadenz, die dem Solisten, 36 Takte vor dem magistralen Finale, noch die Freiheit lässt, seine pathetische und beschwörendende Ausdruckskraft zur Geltung zu bringen. Ein Meisterwerk der zeitgenössischen Posaunen-Literatur. Der Klavierauszug ist von der Hand des Komponisten. The three movements of this concerto, written 1990-91 in Erevan (Armenia) during a dramatic and difficult period (catastrophic earthquake and turbulent political situation) bring out not only the emotions of the great Armenian composer, but also reveal his profound expressive resources which the solo trombone is able to give voice to in an especially moving manner, superbly supported by a richly developed orchestral architecture. To the moving accents of the introduction of the first movement, follows a breath-taking and dramatic dialogue, then an Andante sostenuto with questioning phrases of great beauty and hope. The second movement is an Allegretto in 6/8 which displays the wonderful vivacity and great energy so characteristic of Alexander Arutiunian. The trombone 'explodes' in a kind of tragi-comic dance of dizzying virtuosity. The last movement opens with solo tympani playing a dramatic and martial piano-crescendo (Allegro 4/4), leading brilliantly to the powerful entrance of the solo trombone, which then combines power and sensitivity, fragility and sturdiness, until the cadenza which allows the soloist (36 measures before the magisterial finale) the freedom of full expression of his declamatory and incantatory power. Les trois mouvements de ce concerto, écrit entre 1990 et 1991 à Erevan en Arménie durant une période dramatique et difficile (tremblement de terre catastrophique et situation politique agitée) trahit non seulement les émotions du grand compositeur arménien, mais révèlent aussi ses ressources expressives profondes, que la voix du trombone solo peut traduire de façon particulièrement émouvantes, superbement soutenue qu'elle est, par une architecture orchestrale richement élaborée. Aux accents pathétiques de l'introduction du premier mouvement, succède un dialogue haletant et dramatique, puis un Andante sostenuto où s'enchaînes des phrases interrogatives d'une grande beauté, chargées d'espérances. Le deuxième mouvement est un Allegretto en 6/8 où se déployent la grande vivacité et l'énergie profonde si caractéristiques d'Alexandre Arutiunian. La voix du trombone 'explose' en une sorte de danse tragi-comique vertigineuse et virtuose. Le dernier mouvement s'ouvre sur un solo de timbales piano-crescendo dramatique et martial (Allegro 4/4), amenant magistralement l'entrée puissante du trombone solo qui conjugue ensuite, puissance et sensibilité, fragilité et solidité, jusqu'à la cadence qui laisse au soliste, 36 mesures avant le final haletant et magistral, la liberté de faire valoir son pouvoir déclamatoire et incantatoire. Une oeuvre maîtresse du répertoire contemporain du trombone. La réduction pour piano a été réalisée par le compositeur. Gewicht: 0.143
