Additional info/contents	Das achtzehnminütige Concerto für Horn und Orchester (Fassung für Horn und Klavierauszug erhältlich) ist seinem Auftraggeber, dem renommierten Hornisten Bruno Schneider, gewidmet. Es ist ein dramatisches, lyrisch bewegtes und technisch anspruchsvolles Werk. Rhythmische Konstanz ist besonders im ersten Satz gefordert wo über 27 Takte lang ein einziger Ton in verschiedenen rhythmischen Strukturen wiederholt wird. Auf aleatorische Passagen folgen im zweiten Satz oft Solokadenzen, teils mit unbestimmten Tonhöhen. Der dritte Satz ist tänzerisch und schliesst das Werk mit einem langen, ausklingenden 'pp' Hornton. It is a very dramatic and gripping work, featuring animated and lyrical phrases at a challenging technical level in all three movements. The first movement (in which a same sound is repeated over twenty-seven measures on variable rhythmical structures) requires relentless rhythmical persistence. Solo cadenzi often follow aleatoric sequences, in the second movement partly on undefined pitches. The third movement of the Concerto features dance-like sequences but ends with a long soft and fragile note that gradually fades away.
