Additional info/contents	Wladislaw Michailowitsch Blaschewitsch wurde in Tregubovko im Gouvernement Smolensk geboren. Er machte sich als Posaunist, Lehrer, Dirigent und Komponist einen Namen. Nachdem er 1905 am Moskauer Konservatorium sein Diplom erlangt hatte, wurde er Soloposaunist im Orchester des Bolschoi-Theaters und versah diese Stelle bis 1928. Von 1922 bis zu seinem Tod am 10. April 1942 war Blaschewitsch Professor für Posaune am Moskauer Konservatorium, dessen militärische Fakultät ihn 1937 zum Leiter der Abteilung für Blasinstrumente und zum Dirigenten des staatlichen Harmonieorchesters ernannte. Blaschewitsch ist einer der Begründer der sowjetischen Schule des Posaunen- und Tubaspiels und gilt als hervorragender Solist, aussergewöhnlicher Pädagoge und begabter Komponist. Er entfaltete zeitlebens grosse Aktivität. Sein kompositorischer Nachlass umfasst Werke aller Gattungen, darunter eine 'Schule des Zusammenspiels auf Blasinstrumenten' (1939), eine 'Schule für Posaune und Tuba' und '13 Konzerte, Stücke und Etüden für verschiedene Instrumente und für Harmonieorchester' . Blaschewitschs Werke sind ein Markstein in der Entwicklung des Posaunen- und Tubaspiels und gehören in die Bibliothek einer jeden musikalischen Lehranstalt. Benny Sluchin Vladislav Mikhaylovich Blazhevich was born in Tregubovko, in the government of Smolensk, on 3rd August 1881. He was a trombonist, teacher, conductor and composer. After obtain ing his diploma at the Moscow Conservatoire in 1905, he became solo trombone in the Bolshoi Theatre orchestra, where he remained until 1928. He was professor of trombone at Moscow Conservatoire from 1922 until his death on 10th April 1942. In 1937 he was appointed head of the department of wind instruments in the military faculty of the Moscow Conservatoire and conductor of the state wind band. Blazhevich was one of the founders of the Soviet trombone and tuba school. He was a remarkable performer, a superb teacher and an exceptional composer. He remained very active throughout his life. As a composer he left many of all kinds. We might mention the 'Collective Playing Method for Wind Instruments' (1939), the 'Trombone and Tuba Method' and the 'Thirteen Concertos, Pieces and Studies for Different Instruments and Wind Band'. His works mark an important stage in the development of musical performance for trombone and tuba players and are essential for music college libraries. Benny Sluchin Vladislav Mikhailovich Blazhevich est né le 3 août 1881 à Tregubovko, gouvernement de Smolensk. Il fit une carrière de tromboniste, de professeur, de chef d'orchestre et de compositeur. Après l'obtention de son diplôme au Conservatoire de Moscou en 1905, il devient trombone solo à l'Orchestre du Théâtre Bolchoï, poste qu'il occupa jusqu'en 1928. Blazhevich fut professeur de trombone au Conservatoire de Moscou de 1922 jusqu'à sa mort survenue le 10 avril 1942. Dès 1937 il fut nommé directeur du département des instruments à vent à la faculté militaire du Conservatoire de Moscou et chef de l'Orchestre d' harmonie de l'Etat. Blazhevich est l'un des fondateurs de l'Ecole soviétique du trombone et du tuba. On peut le qualifier de remarquable concertiste, de professeur extraordinaire et de compositeur exceptionnel. Sa vie durant il déploya une intense activité. En tant que compositeur, il laisse de nombreuses oeuvres de tout genre. Citons 'La Méthode de jeu collectif sur les instruments à vent' (1939), 'La Méthode de trombone et de tuba', '13 Concerti, pièces et études pour différents instruments et pour orchestre d'harmonie'. Les oeuvres de V. Blazhevich marquent une étape importante dans le développement de l'exécution musicale des trombonistes et des tubistes et sont indispensables dans la bibliothèque des institutions d'enseignement musical.
