This little suite was written in July 1974 when Richard Lane was 41 years-old. The five movements provide the performer with considerable freedom of expression within different styles and moods, performed over a high quality and stimulating pianistic accompaniment, the latter being a common characteristic of the music of Richard Lane. Conçue comme étude estivale, cette petite suite a été écrite en juillet 1974 par Richard Lane (alors âgé de 41 ans). Les cinq mouvements amènent l'interprète à s'exprimer dans différents styles et humeurs avec pour dénominateur commun cet accompagnement pianistique exceptionnel et stimulant, typique de Richard Lane.
