Additional info/contents	In Memoriam wurde 2010 zum Gedenken an Gwen Smith, Mutter von Philip Smith (Solo-Trompeter des New York Philharmonic) und Gattin von Derek Smith komponiert. Die Worte einer alten Hymne des Theologen Karl Spitta (1801-1859) 'Wir sind des Herrn' haben mich zu diesem Stück inspiriert. Obwohl für Flügelhorn gedacht, kann das Stück auch auf der Trompete gespielt werden. Joseph Turrin, Nov. 2010, Clifton, USA In Memoriam was composed in 2010 in memory of Gwen Smith, mother of Philip Smith (principal trumpet of the New York Philharmonic) and wife of Derek Smith. As an inspiration for this composition I was moved by the words from an old hymn by Karl Spitta (1801-1859) 'We Are the Lord's'. Although conceived as a flugelhorn piece it could easily work on the trumpet as well.
