An original work comprised of three movements--the first moderately fast and insistent, followed by a singingly calm middle movement and a maestoso finale. The solo percussion array is comprised of indefinite pitch instruments including bass drum, woodblocks, tom-toms, cowbells, bongos, Chinese gongs, various cymbals and congas. Double take was premiered by the Louisiana State University wind ensemble conducted by Damon Talley with Griffin Campbell on Alto Saxophone and Brett Dietz on percussion.
