Additional info/contents	Paul Sigmund was clearly charmed by the rural life surrounding his new home of Wels in Upper Austria. As early as bar 30, the "journey" to the countryside to visit his "beloved" begins, where he serenades her in a slow waltz (bar 76). Sigmund was particularly impressed by the practice of "Fensterln" – the art of waking a woman by knocking or throwing pebbles (bar 106, woodblock): cautious approach (bar 110), hesitant reply (bar 112), growing impatience (bar 115), final hesitation (bar 121) – but then… a happy ending!
