Composer Kern, Jerome
Arranger Holman, Bill
Difficulty level 3
Additional info/contents style: Ballad
grade: Medium-Advanced
weight: 1 lb.

This is a wonderful feature for tenor saxophone (as recorded by Bill Perkins). Bill (Perk) says that people ask him about this recording more than any other he has done (and that's a LOT!). Holman uses the essence of this beautiful ballad, stays out of the way of the soloist, and creates one of the most successful feature ballads ever arranged. This is very sophisticated music on maybe the best album the Kenton Band ever did. Recorded on the Contemporary Concepts album (This music is also available from Mosaic Records in their Russo/Holman CD set.) 5-5-5-4
