Additional info/contents	Marimba/Snare Drum/Suspended Cymbal; Vibraphone/High Tom-Tom/Suspended Cymbal; Xylophone/Low Tom-Tom/Triangle; Bells/Timpani Written for the Ithaca College (NY) Summer Music Academy, this piece will challenge each performer to play a variety of standard percussion instruments. Through the three connected sections -- a fast 3/4, a slow melodic 4/4 interlude, and a driving 6/8 -- each member of the group plays a short solo feature. The melodic interlude features everyone on mallet instruments. Although conceived as a quartet, more players could be added by splitting up the various instruments assigned to each part.
