Difficulty level 4
Duration 4:00
Additional info/contents Vega is a blue white star of the constellation Lyra, one of the brightest in the northern hemisphere, and was the North Star 14,000 years ago. This original grade 4 work, based on the Chinese folk tale about the star, is programmatic in nature and contains three distinct melodies. The first is a lyrical representation of Vega, the daughter of the Sun-God. The second melody depicts the love between Vega and a herdsman, Altair, and their separation by the Sun-God. The third theme portrays the moment when the lovers are reunited.
