Additional info/contents	For this work, Jan de Haan was inspired by five paintings on display at the Hermitage in Saint Petersburg, one of the largest and most diverse museums in the world. For this he used the melodious Andante cantabile from the String Quartet, Op. 11, by the Russian composer Peter I. Tchaikovsky. So he created his own musical painting, which is as diverse as the paintings that served as inspiration - from Cheerful Company by Dirck Hals to Dance II by Henri Matisse. A true work of art!
