Additional info/contents	"Suite Nostalgique" consists of four movements and adopts a classical period style. The first movement begins with a slow, onerous entry, in which we hear the main theme of the movement for the first time. A lively presto section follows, in which various secondary themes as well as the main theme are presented and incorporated. The expressive second movement (in Adagio) begins quietly with features for oboe and clarinet and flugelhorn/cornet and horn respectively, before we hear the theme played forte by the whole band. The third movement is a waltz. It begins with a jolly theme in major, before interchanging later between major and minor keys. These transitions culminate in a dramatic climax, followed by a repetition of the first part of the movement. The fourth movement briefly features a presto section before slowing to an adagio section in which the main theme of the movement is played by solo clarinet and accompanied by the horns. The melody is then taken over by a classic quintet formation of flute, oboe, clarinet, horn and trombone. More and more instruments join with a countermelody, which ultimately leads into the final presto section. Here, the main theme of the fourth movement is heard once again, after which the piece ends on a variation of the first movement’s theme.
