Additional info/contents	Telemanns Missa brevis über das Weihnachtslied 'Ein Kindelein so löbelich' ist eine von elf aus seiner Feder überlieferten lateinischen Kurzmessen über Kirchenliedmelodien. Der motettische Satz rechnet mit einem vom Generalbass begleiteten vierstimmigen Chor, der durch mitgehende Instrumente verstärkt wird, doch kann die Messe auch ohne Orchesterinstrumente nur mit Orgelbegleitung aufgeführt werden. Gottlob Harrer, der Nachfolger Johann Sebastian Bachs als Thomaskantor, hat die Messe in Leipzig an Weihnachten 1750 und 1751 mit Orchesterbegleitung aufgeführt und dafür Partien für zwei Hörner hinzugefügt. Sie sind in die vorliegende Ausgabe als Ad-libitum-Stimmen einbezogen.
