Additional info/contents	The work is arranged for four timpani, has an alternative part for two timpani and can just as well be performed without these instruments. The first movement "Johan von Gent" conveys a medieval sound through its instrumentation, while the second movement ("Glasbläserlied") lives, among other things, from the warm sound of the horn quartet (cue notes available for all horn parts). The suite ends with the "Siebensprung", a lively dance in 2/4 time.
