This arrangement for AATB saxophone quartet does not call so much for technical virtuosity but for solid rhythmic ensemble playing. After a rubato introduction, the groove in 5/4 time immediately sets in and runs through the remainder of the piece. The unusual time signature creates a flowing melody.
