Additional info/contents Some of Norway’s most famous artists, Wenche Myhre, Kari Diesen and Sølvi Wang formed a group called “Oslo Harmony Quartet”, a quartet with only three singers. Sussebass (1967) was a huge success and is still alive today in many different recordings. The original, Peek-a-boo, was also quite famous and recent recordings with “New Vaudeville Band” still are played.
The arranger got a call from a band who wanted to make a little fuss on their tuba player, so this arrangement is almost to be considered as a tuba / bass solo. It is also possible to let some of the other instruments raise up and stand close to “Susse” (“Kissing”)-bass and play the solos directly to the one / those who play bass line.
