Additional info/contents	This solopiece for Soprano Saxophone is originally composed for Oboe and dedicated to my friend and collegue Thijs Dapper. The first performance was at 'Modern Art', a concert about mostly contemporary music. The composition is about two parts: Adagio and Scherzo. In Adagio the ethos is very important. The souplesse and plaintive contemplations lead to the second part: Scherzo. The tritonus is central. It will be used happily and signal-like besides broad and profound sentences in the middel. The final is introduced by a stretto which contains well-known parts. Dit solowerk voor Sopraansaxofoon is oorspronkelijk voor Hobo Solo geschreven voor mijn muzikale vriend en collega Thijs Dapper. Hij heeft de première verzorgd op een 'Modern Art' concert met een aantal van mijn modernere werken. Het stuk bestaat uit twee delen: Adagio en Scherzo. In het Adagio is de sfeer zeer bepalend. De souplesse en de klaaglijke overpeinzingen leiden uiteindelijk naar het tweede deel, het Scherzo. Hierin staat de tritonus centraal. Deze wordt vrolijk en vaak signaalmatig gebruikt naast de brede dragende, zelfs diepzinnige zinnen in het middengedeelte. Het slot wordt ingeleid door een stretto met veel bekend materiaal.
