Additional info/contents	“Hallelujah” is probably one of the most popular ballads. The original version by Canadian musician Leonard Cohen dates from 1984. The soulful song deals with biblical themes, such as the secret melody that King David played for God. The song became famous thanks to numerous cover versions that were used in many films and series. Probably the best-known versions by Jeff Buckley and John Cale appear in films such as “Lord of War”, “Into the Wild” and “Shrek”. The wind orchestra version by Heinz Briegel can be performed purely instrumentally or with vocals. Heinz Briegel’s new version for concert band can be performed instrumentally or with an additional vocal part.
